The MCCC libraries serve the college's students, faculty and staff. In doing so, we provide access to information and academic resources in support of our curricula and programs through the use of our collections, space, and services. The COVID-19 pandemic has required some changes in our traditional services and operational practices. These changes are based on College, local, state, and federal recommendations, as well as best practices specific to libraries.
The health of everyone we serve and the health of library staff is the primary concern of the institution and this department. Accordingly, we appreciate your understanding as services and library seating is arranged to maximize everyone's care and safety.
Listed below are changes to library operations designed with safety and caution as the essential guide for the work done on your behalf. We ask all who visit the library to please comply with the College's policy that all should wear masks while on campus and in campus buildings. For your added convenience if you cannot wear a mask, we offer remote services such as reference chat, Zoom video conferencing, email and soon to be offered pre-scheduled curbside pickups.

Textbooks on Reserve and General Circulation Resources
The libraries strive to have textbooks from the MCCC bookstore for courses with the heaviest enrollments. These textbooks are for two-hour use in the library only.
Our general circulating collection may be borrowed for 21days. Fines for overdue materials are 10 cents per day.
All resources that qualify for loan, except reserve textbooks and materials, are to be checked-out using the self-check-out terminals near the circulation desks. Directions clearly explain how to check out resources without assistance from library staff. Items are to be returned in the book bin located outside of the Welcome Center at WW and across from the Security deak at JKC. Please do not bring materials inside the library when returning them.
