What is AI Literacy? Competencies and Design Considerations
The authors, Duri Long and Brian Magerko define AI Literacy as: "as a set of competencies that enables individuals to critically evaluate AI technologies; communicate and collaborate effectively with AI; and use AI as a tool online, at home, and in the workplace.

Additionally, below is a link to a short video that explains the author's research in more detail. It provides a concrete definition of AI literacy that is based on existing research. The authors synthesized a variety of interdisciplinary literature into a set of core competencies of AI literacy and suggest several design considerations to support AI developers and educators in creating learner-centered AI.
